<image:caption>Maher has spent over 20 years working with and for marginalized communities both locally and globally. Born in war torn Beirut Lebanon, he’s had quite a journey as an immigrant and refugee that’s beautifully shaped the way he perceives the world today. He spent almost a decade on the streets of North Philly working together with leaders and organizations that were truly passionate about addressing systemic poverty in their neighborhoods. As a result, a stronger community came together to improve the quality of life through education and community development projects. As an Outreach pastor at Mariners Church in Orange County, CA he built a department that stood for efficiency and systematic impact. You normally hear him throwing out the phrase, “Why add, when you can multiply?” Having worked in collaboration with dozens of organizations locally and around the world, his passion is to see leaders and organizations thrive strategically to serve those on the margins with the utmost dignity and excellence. At the beginning of 2020, he moved back to Philadelphia with his wife Jen and 3 kids (Aliya, Isaiah, Kaden) to help transition his father into retirement from the family car dealership business. Having received his DEI certification through the National EIDA Center, Maher also has a Master Technician degree from BMW and is currently working on a Masters of Religion degree at Cairn University. “For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.” ― Nelson Mandela</image:caption>

<image:caption>Born into a family of LatinX immigrants, Nikki has developed a global perspective which has created a deep desire for systemic change revolving around diversity, equity, and inclusion. She has had extensive training in urban leadership development while involved in serving diverse and vulnerable communities in Metro Denver for the last 5 years. More specifically, she has worked in several non-profit organizations and with Colorado school districts to work alongside Spanish-speaking families to provide immediate resources such as school engagement, life-on-life mentorship, and dropout prevention support for students in K-12. Throughout her career, Nikki has also had the opportunity to dive deeper into gender and racial identity development training which has allowed her to expand her understanding of her own identity as a Latinx indigenous woman and now has the ability to dissect and train on racial-ethnic identity development. Alongside her career pursuit, Nikki is also currently an undergraduate pursuing her Bachelors in Public Relations at Regis University in Colorado. When not in school or work, she has dedicated her time to her family, exploring more of Colorado’s beautiful scenery with her husband, and playing music around the city. She is a singer/songwriter and spoken word artist living and leading BIPOC in Denver, CO. Led lyrically by her multi-cultural lens and International worldview, she expresses her unique voice in spaces of activism via her biracial identity and uses her artistry platform to fight against social injustices while educating, uplifting, and unifying racial minorities in order to live and breathe her passion for community. Nikki is a certified DEI and Organizational Change practitioner through the National EIDA Center and brings knowledge of the most recent research of DEI as well as global best practices. “For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.” ― Nelson Mandela</image:caption>

<image:title>Sara Kershaw - Sara Kershaw</image:title>
<image:caption>Sara has spent over 20 years working and consulting with complex, large, for-profit, global organizations. She spent the first decade of her professional career working within historically marginalized and diverse communities across the Los Angeles area. She quickly learned the importance of understanding cultural differences to be effective in her leadership role and create desired change. During this time, she built the scaffolding for grass-roots sourcing and development programs to successfully hire and develop a diverse workforce, developed and nurtured critical community relationships and involvement, and was consulted with by leaders of the organization to scale learnings and processes across the organization and became a source for best practices still utilized today. Sara then took her experience and learnings and worked in multiple cross-functional roles in which she provided leadership and operational consultation both within and to other complex, large organizations. As a result, she deepened her knowledge and understanding of how large, for-profit, matrixed organizations function and operate at multiple levels, and she was able to create structural and financial change sustainably. Early in her 20s, Sara openly shared her same-sex attraction, which resulted in not being welcomed in spaces that used to provide a sense of identity and belonging, such as church and family. She can draw on her own experience, making her a culturally intelligent valued member of a diverse team. Sara is a certified DEI practitioner through the National EIDA Center and offers expertise around the intersectionalities of women & race, as well as women & cultural intelligence and how these impact one's ability to lead diverse teams successfully. She is in the process of becoming a certified trainer for white women around the intersectionalities of race, gender, and power. “For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.” ― Nelson Mandela</image:caption>

<image:title>Daniel Rose - Daniel Rose</image:title>
<image:caption>Daniel Rose is a dedicated professional with a passion for working to create social justice and equity. In this pursuit, he has focused on, and made a career of, understanding the specific needs of historically marginalized people groups in under-resourced communities. Daniel started his career path by spending 12 years working as a developer and director of low-economic communities across Denver Metro, where he increased the impact of his daily work by adding evenings and weekends full of coaching youth sports and many other programs around the city. It was through these experiences that he witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by historically marginalized communities, which ignited a deep desire to be part of a solution. With a strong conviction to address systemic inequities and a keen ability to repair relationships through resourcing and coaching, Daniel transitioned into the role of a case manager for couples. His empathetic and compassionate approach helped build meaningful connections with people and provide them with the necessary support to navigate their relationships. Motivated by his experiences as a case manager, Daniel recognized the importance of addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) at both an individual and organizational level. This led him to pursue a career as a DEI practitioner, where he could leverage his expertise in fostering inclusive organizational environments and advocating for historically underrepresented groups. Daniel believes in the grassroots process of change and growth that he hopes ultimately meets the goal of the people and families of a community. Daniel has a degree with a focus in sociology and is finishing another degree in Applied Psychology. Daniel is committed to creating spaces where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives. Through his leadership and expertise, Daniel continues to inspire change by implementing innovative strategies and policies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion through Thriving Culture, LLC’s framework and tools. Daniel’s tireless efforts highlight his commitment to social impact and creating equitable opportunities for all. He remains dedicated to driving positive change and believes that by cultivating inclusive workplaces and communities, we can forge a brighter and more equitable future for everyone. “For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.” ― Nelson Mandela</image:caption>
